About Me

Hi! My name is Ali Papa (@iamalipapa) and I serve as the author, board chair, and founder of Vistas of Hope.

I am a devout christian (previously a Muslim), husband, father, software developer, blogger, business owner and author of the books, Letters of Shelomi, Letters of Jaanai, Letters of Dodai, Unwritten Prayers and Letters To My Pastor (a memoir about my early days in Church as a Christian).

I am also a soldier of Jesus in the army of God (Ephesians 6:12-13), compelled to preach the gospel because of His fullness and His completeness.

I am a lover of words and His Word, and like Paul, who wrote Philippians from prison to encourage those who were out of prison, I am not here to dress up the gospel neither am I coming to you “with excellency of speech or of  “enticing words of man’s” wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God” (1 Corinthians 2:1,2). I only write inspirational words of faith, hope and love from the perspective of a man with extreme life experience but saved by Grace.

In my life, I’ve lived, I’ve loved, I’ve lost, I’ve missed, I’ve hurt, I’ve trusted, I’ve made mistakes. But most of all, I’ve learned and I’m in love with who I’m becoming.

I know what it is like to be beaten down emotionally, mentally and even, spiritually. I know what it is like to be in silent hell for seven years.

I know what it is like to be in a “blessed mess”. I know what it feels like to experience such weariness and defeat by the issues of “life” that any thought of getting back up seems impossible.

I know what it is like making bad mistakes and walking out of the ashes in hopes of a new beginning.

I also know what it’s like to experience the LOVE of God in such a dynamic way because in the midst of all of my most challenging circumstances, the Lord was there with me and He has taught me how to have joy and see Vistas of Hope in the midst of it all.

I don’t know your story, your journey and the street of life you are in but our faith in God is what opens new Vistas of Hope and doors for Him to move and set the blessings in motion. And that’s my desire for you!

When doubts filled my mind, it was His comfort that gave me renewed hope and cheer (Psalms 94:19). This comfort that only Him can give is what I want you to experience too from the Word of God!

My hope is that God will use what He’s taught me to encourage you, to bless you and to lead you into an even greater relationship with Him!

He has called, anointed, and appointed us for such a time as this. So, let’s rise up in faith and fellowship together.

In Him,
Ali Papa.

  1. Just ran across your site accidentally, bookmarked it a few weeks ago and came to it today to take a look. A few hours later, I’m still here and I can relate to so many of the topics you are preaching about. As a single Dad of 2 young men, I am desperately seeking a fresh start, renewed mind, forgiveness and patience. I’ve tried it on my own…thinking “I got this”, but quickly come to the realization that I do not and the only way is to renew and commit fully to my walk and relationship with God, my heavenly Father. I can’t say I’m already there, but your site and words are helping so much, I needed this and I will include it in my life, as well as my boys life’s. Thank you for your honesty and for what you do.

    • Thank you and happy to have you here @iamsecondxx33. The truth about God is that He hasn’t changed His mind about you. He made a promise that you will always be the head and not the tail according to Deuteronomy 28:12. Irrespective of where you are in life right now, God will continue to be in you and with you – whispering in your ears, answering your queries, answering your prayers, calming your fears and guiding your every step all the way.

I would love to have you subscribe here to receive Vistas of Hope messages as an SMS Message on your phone for FREE every day. You will be reminded each morning that God desires to bless you, encourage you, and answer your prayers because His mercies toward you are new every morning!

May God give you a fresh start in every areas of your life. No longer shall you be in any form of captivity captivity. Doors are going to begin to swing open for you in this hour. Were there has been a shortage of the wind, I pray the wind would blow in. Where there has been a shortage of that rain from heaven, I declare it to rain again in Jesus Name.

      Ali Papa.

    • Thank you Martha for asking. I was born and raised as a Muslim, got tired of it and started questioning the existence of God. In my quest to know Him, a terrible incident happened that changed my whole life and I became a Christian. It’s a long testimony that should be shared here as a post rather than as a comment. I will do that and let you know.
